The challenge

The community was growing fast. The brand had to grow with it.

swiitchbeauty® began as a bedroom-born South African beauty business built through social media and an unusually close relationship with its customer. That direct conversation became one of the brand’s greatest strengths, creating a community that didn’t simply buy the products but actively participated in the world around them.

As the audience, product range and ambition grew, the challenge was to turn that momentum into a brand system capable of carrying it further. Product launches needed their own identities while still feeling unmistakably swiitch. Packaging, e-commerce, campaigns and social content needed to work together. And the energy that existed online needed to translate into real-world experiences without losing the accessibility and personality that made the brand resonate in the first place.

The opportunity was to build the creative and commercial world around the community, without designing away the culture that created it.

What we did

How we got there.

We turned a social-first beauty brand into a world people could step into.

The work started with the brand itself, developing a stronger and more recognisable visual language across identity, graphic design and creative direction. Rather than separating brand from content, the two were developed together so that packaging, product launches, campaigns and everyday social communication all felt like expressions of the same personality.

That thinking extended into the products. Packaging design and launch creative gave individual releases their own moments while building a more cohesive product universe around them. Photography, campaign concepts, digital assets and UGC-style content created a flexible visual system that could move at the speed of a social-first beauty brand without losing consistency.

The digital experience grew alongside the brand. Website and e-commerce design brought the same identity into the shopping journey, connecting product storytelling, campaign creative and commerce. Social became more than a promotional channel, functioning as an ongoing conversation between the brand and its community and helping turn launches into shared cultural moments.

The brand also moved beyond the screen. Launch collateral, pop-ups and in-person activations translated the visual and social world into physical experiences, giving the community another way to participate in the brand they had helped shape.

Across every touchpoint, the objective remained the same: build a brand that could grow without losing the wit, accessibility, immediacy and community connection that made swiitchbeauty® distinctive in the first place.

The outcome

What changed.

  • 146K+Social community
  • 20+In person activations
  • 4Retail store openings

swiitchbeauty® grew from a bedroom-born beauty business into a nationally recognised brand with a 146K+ social community and a distinctive presence across product, digital and physical experiences.

What began as a conversation between a founder and her audience became a complete brand world, spanning identity, packaging, e-commerce, campaigns, content, product launches and activations while preserving the accessibility and personality that made the community connect with it in the first place.

The result was more than a larger audience. It was a brand people could recognise, participate in and carry with them from the feed to the product and into real life.
